How Does Lip Augmentation Work?

- Lip lift/vermilion advancement: For this surgical lip enhancement, a thin incision is made along the lower and/or upper border of the lip. An area of skin outside the lips will be removed, then the lips will be adjusted to replace the excised skin and stitched in place. This lip advancement surgery gives long-lasting improvements to the size and shape of the mouth.
- V-Y lip augmentation: This technique adds volume to the upper or lower lips without fillers. After making incisions on the inside of your lip, Dr. Ran will draw the tissues together and stitch them closed, creating a lifted look. Because the incisions are made inside, there is no visible scarring after this procedure.
- Subnasal lip lift: Sometimes called the bullhorn lift, this lip lift technique involves an incision beneath the nose, allowing Dr. Ran to lift the upper lip up.
