Dr. Cong Ivy Ran is a fellowship-trained plastic surgeon and the founder and medical director of Ran Plastic Surgery. Specializing in facial aesthetics, she proudly offers treatments built around the needs and goals of each individual patient, recognizing that each person's vision of beauty is unique. Dr. Ran graduated magna cum laude with honors and research distinction from The Ohio State University, earning a degree in molecular genetics. From there, she studied at Dartmouth College's Geisel School of Medicine where she earned her medical degree and Ph.D. in genetics.
After finishing her studies, Dr. Ran went to Northwestern University in Chicago, IL, completing her internship and residency in general surgery and otolaryngology-head and neck surgery. She finished her training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery under the supervision of Dr. Corey S. Maas, president-elect of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS), and Dr. David W. Kim.
While her formal education is complete, Dr. Ran still works to keep abreast of the latest developments and evidence-based approaches to treating her clients. She continues to participate in clinical research and is a regular presenter at industry events.
Dr. Ran has extensive experience in head and neck treatments, including surgical facelifts, neck lifts, and brow lifts. She also specializes in blepharoplasty and is proud to be one of a small number of providers who offer eyelid treatments specific to Asian patients, correcting aesthetic and vision problems while preserving the natural shape and look of their eyes.

I had my rhinoplasty done by Dr. Ran Cong, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with both the results and the whole experience!Before the surgery, I had a rather bulbous tip and a low nasal bridge. My goal was to refine the nose wings, reduce the height of the columella and nasal bridge, and just make the overall shape look more delicate and balanced. Since it was quite a major procedure that required an implant, I consulted with three different surgeons before deciding to go with Dr. Ran — and I’m so glad I did.She not only has an impressive background and aesthetic sense, but also a very modern, in-depth understanding of facial structure and rhinoplasty techniques. During our consultation, she was patient, attentive, and genuinely cared about what I wanted. She walked me through every detail and made sure we were on the same page before surgery, which gave me so much confidence.Now I’m three months post-op, and my nose looks beautiful and natural — the shape is stable, no inflammation, no abnormal bleeding. The incision line is incredibly fine and almost invisible. I have oily, scar-prone skin, but the scar is barely noticeable, even at close range. She even included a laser treatment afterward, which helped a lot!Overall, I had such a wonderful experience and couldn’t thank Dr. Ran enough for giving me a nose I truly love. She says I still have some swelling to go down, but honestly, I already love my new nose! 💕
I can’t speak highly enough about Dr. Ran and her team. I had upper bleph, temporal lift and upper lip lift done yesterday. EVERYTHING went better than expected. She is meticulous. I was completely comfortable the entire time, everyone is knowledgeable, kind and accommodating. I’m less than 24 hours out of surgery and feel amazing. Dr Ran is very knowledgeable and experienced, I’ve gotten a few procedures done with her and all pretty good results, her pricing is very reasonable as well.
