Alarplasty, or alar base reduction, is a surgical procedure aimed at refining the width of the nasal base to create a more balanced and proportionate appearance. When the procedure is performed as a stand-alone surgery, it can be done under local anesthesia in office. This case involved a patient who was concerned with the broadness of her nasal base, which affected the overall harmony of her face. After a detailed consultation and assessment, a customized alar base reduction was performed to narrow the nostrils and improve facial balance. The patient achieved natural-looking results, with improved facial aesthetics.
